Sony just announced their new concept ultra-compact EVIL (electronic viewfinder interchangeable lens) camera. no details on specs and prices yet, but some of the major features would be that it supports HD video recording and there will be an adapter to allow it to use Sony and Minolta’s A-mount lens. interesting enough to make me want one.
let’s wait for the final details shall we?
note to self: start funding. huhu.

last week during the CNY holiday i went to broga hill with a few of alphanatics members. lol. they said the hiking trip gonna be like 15 minutes. but i took almost 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach the top. well, at least they are correct about the 15 minutes part. they just forgot to mention the 1 hour part. huhu.
the original plan was to shoot the sunset. but since i took quite a long time to reach up there, the sun already gone when i arrived. haha. guess i have only myself to blame for not being fit.
here’s some of the shots that i took anyway:

[more in my flickr]
9 of us went up there, but only 3 of us including me went down that night. another 6 was set-up a camp because another group of alphanatics will be going up for sunrise shooting. a friend of mine is supposed to work the next day, that’s why we didn’t camp out up there. we was supposed to leave right after sunset but those guys asked us to stay for dinner first. so we waited until they finished cooking and had our dinner together. it was a simple meal but we really appreciate it. thanks guys!
although it’s been a very tiring trip, but it’s quite worth it. the scenery is damn nice. i won’t mind going up there again sometimes after this, but learning from mistakes, i need to start hiking early. haha.

remember, i told you that i have replaced something in my wishlist with another thing? well, i still didn’t do any product shots of it yet. but i can show you what it can do:

huahuahua. introducing Fiona, my Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fish-Eye lens and by buying this, i have scratch-off the dedicated macro lens from my wishlist.
at first, i was quite eager to get that macro lens. then i had a second thought about it, because i didn’t do macro that much, and i still can get good results with my raynox. so i decided to get this fish-eye instead. it’s the cheapest (i think so) fish-eye lens for Sony mount so far because it is a MF lens, but somehow the results are pretty much impressive. yet, i’m quite okay with it because i don’t really need to focus on something when using a fish-eye. it’s damn wide! it’s quite hard the first time i tried, but i guess i’m learning to control it.
i also have bought the cokin filters that i have always wanted for landscape and scenery photography. i’m really looking forward to test it out in broga hill this weekend.
will show you guys some results later, and also some sexy shots of Fiona.
p/s: now i’m only left with a CPL filter in my wishlist for photography gears
