I went for a break-fast session with Bebenang Melayu spammers members yesterday at Hartz Chicken Buffet, Berjaya Times Square. There were 15 attendees, but not all of them are in the Bebenang. When I arrived at around 6.05 pm, Snipedo and Kak Aida (organizer) were already there. They were like the second group of people in the line so I just went straight to them (we are together so that doesn’t count as queue jumping right? ).
Well, it’s a TT session, so do I really need to tell you what happened? We sit and talk and eat and talk and eat and talk until we cannot eat anymore, but we still can talk la. Here’s some pics of the attendees:
Back (L-R): xsan, xsan’s friend, snipedo, cuki, sig baik, aiman (penghulu), radmaszeal, radmaszeal’s friend, zahir nangnak Front (L-R): czero, cuki’s mem, kak aida, xsan’s mem, pilot-nenas pic by uncle saiful
Unfortunately, I have to cancel (or postpone?) my deal with yuheng@LYN for the iBasso-D2 Boa Headphone Amplifier because of one idiot from LYN who owes me a few hundreds since early this year and takes forever to pay me back of some budget issues. Hope I can get the money ready pretty soon because I really want that amp to drive my MS1
So, the £5 billion LHC machine on the Swiss-French border was activated yesterday and it seems like the “Big Bang” experiment started very well. But..
The BBC understands that low-energy collisions could happen in the next few days. This will allow engineers to calibrate instruments, but will not produce data of scientific interest. (Source)
The switch-on saw the first stream of subatomic particles - known as Hadrons - circulating in the tunnel. The first collisions are expected in around 30 days. (Source)
This means that only the machine was being activated yesterday and the particle smashing experiment that recreate the conditions during the “Big Bang” will only take place in a few days up to a month time.
I am no expert in this field as I am fukken noob in physics, but when someone 1337 like Professor Otto Rossler voiced his concerns saying that black holes created by the LHC will grow uncontrollably and “eat the planet from the inside”(Source), I believe we should at least be prepared for any outcomes, from something small like an explosion up to something big like the black holes (or a portal zomg!).
Well, I think I need to find myself this zombie kit now:
