Woke up this morning just to find out that my NEX3 battery completely empty at 7.04am, after only 412 shots, since 3.20am last night. So, a fully charged NEX battery can last for around 3 hours and 45 minutes only. Damn, I need to find a shorter audio files. The song that I’m currently interested in for my timelapse video needed me to shoot for more than 6 hours. Also, the current time limit does not allow me to get a full startrails across the frame.

I can haz battery grip for my NEX?

Note to self, find better foreground and better night to shoot startrails. You need lots and lots of stars mate!

Read about startrails and decided to give it a shot. It’s been a while since I took out my camera and I didn’t realise the battery is almost empty. So here it is, my failed attempt at startrails, stacked from 12 shots only. Better luck next time!
